Donny Was A Good Bowler

Cinema and music have always been good for each other in the entertainment world but add a pinch of bowling to the mix and you have a heavenly mixture. As the Coen Brothers are in the news with their Oscars for 'Country For Old Men' I thought I would dig out my best 'bowling' tracks and honour my favourite Coen brothers film 'The Big Lebowski'. The soundtrack is out there somewhere and is a good solid mix of musical styles and artists but it doesn't feature any songs about 'bowling' which to me is the centre piece of the film.

So these four tracks are dedicated to Theodore Donald 'Donny' Kerabatsos whose ashes were scattered to the wind by The Dude and Walter Sobchak in a empty Folgers coffee can.
You can find The Cavemen on the 1996 LP from Mr Manicotti Records ' The Big Itch Vol 4, The Southwest Trio and Sam Thomas can be found on the Knight Records compilation ' Twistin' Time' Vol 2 and finally The Halibuts surf instrumental can be found on their 1994 CD 'Chumming'.

Enjoy..........................................
