I'm a bit pushed for time this week so I'm in for a quickie post today. These three tracks cover the late fifties from 1957-1959. Two tracks are from Soul legend Don Covay who recorded these two tracks under the alias 'Pretty Boy'. 'Bip Bop Bop' was produced by Little Richard and released by Atlantic Records, you can find these two tracks on the Mr.Maestro Records compilation 'More Wild & Frantic'. Following Don is Mickey Hawks from North Carolina who issued some super Rockabilly tracks on Profile Records including the classic instrumental 'Cotton Pickin'.For more information on Mickey see my previous post 'We're Gonna Dance Tonight' from 28 August 2006 !
