All Bop No Slop

Well I've not been too well over the past few days but Hey ! I'm back now with a few more Hey's ! to dig. It's a word used to draw attention, commonly used as a salutation or greeting among familiars in English speaking countries and can be found in quite a few song titles.

Let's start with Monty & Fred (The Barker Brothers) who released their 'Hey Little Mama' on Kent Records in 1958. Followed by a 1964 British R&B version of the Dee Clark hit by way of Romford, East London on Decca. We then go back to 1958 again and Nashville, Tenn where Tom James released 'Hey Baby' on Klix. Finally we finish with The Gruesomes whose garage-punk from Canada lasted for a few years in the mid 1980's.
