Today is my small tribute to Eddie Shuler's Goldband Records. Eddie was nicknamed 'The King Of The Underground', he was a musician, songwriter, producer and record distributor, basically a 'One-Man Record Company'. Born in Texas in 1913 he recorded Zydeco, Blues, Hillbilly, Rockabilly,Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll. Here are four obscure examples of his art taken from Charly Records releases on the Folk Star Label in the mid 1980's. They are titled :- Zydeco Birth, Bayou Rhythm & Blues Shuffle Vol 3, Whole Lotta Drinkin' On The Block and Rockin' Jumpin' Shoutin' !
